More importantly, the curriculum is designed to prepare students to be effective entry- level counselors in a variety of settings (school, agency, hospital, religious, business and industry, community mental health, college/university). As professionals who adhere to the ethical standards of the profession, faculty are committed to an on- going screening process designed to assist students whose issues interfere significantly with their progress in the program. When faculty members identify students with developmental or remedial issues, they will be referred to the appropriate campus resource coordinated through the Students Academic Resource Services (SARS).
